Mar 24, 1860 It was moved and seconded that Br. J. C. Bobo be authorized
                     to act as clerk protem, until we lean whether or not Br. J. Greer
                     will resume the office with us as clerk again from his disease and 
                     that Br. Bobo be authorized to get of Br. Greer the church book.

Mar 24, 1860 Br. C. Gibbs report that he had received on a subscription 
                     list to aid in repairing this house Twenty four dollars and that
                     he had paid twenty one dollars and fifteen cents for shingles for 
                     the same purpose/ (i.e.) for repairing, leaving the balance of what 
                     he had collected of two dollars and eighty cents, which balance 
                     the church decided to vote to give brother ____ for hauling and 
                    other service rendered toward the improvement of this house. 

                         Br. Bobo moved that there be a committee of three be appointed to
                    superintend the repairing and they be authorized to sell the brick of 
                    the gable ends, Which are to be taken down and that this committee
                    be empowered to make some suitable contract with some person
                    or persons to do the work. This was voted upon and was unanimously 
                    carried, the committee is to consist of Br. J. Bobo, G. Harlin, and 
                    B. Sparks. 

                         It was moved and seconded that we elect two deacons for the use
                    of this church by balloting.  It resulted in the choice of Br. W. J. 
                    Sparks, J. C. Bobo, who agreed to serve to the best of their ability. 

Apr 22, 1860 Appointed J. C. Bobo our regular recording clerk and brother 
                     J. Jones regular Treasurer.

Jul 21, 1860 The church proceeded as before resolved to set apart the two 
                   candidates to the office of deacon. The introductory sermon 
                   was delivered by Elder J. White and after which the Presbytery

                      Authority of Jesus Christ set them apart, and on the constitution and of the
                      Bethel Association, giving and allowing the full and independent authority to
                      act within herself, as church properly organized, with ful power of Gospel
                      Discipline receive or Suspend agreebly to the Scripture Taking that for their
                      only Rule of Life and Practice praying that the great head of the church, Jesus
                      Christ may bless them in all of their laudable endeavors to promote his cause

Jan 26, 1839 Appointed a committee of the following Brethren J. Gibbs, J. Hay, 
                   
H.B. Murphy to project & superintend the repairing of the church 
                    yard and to appoint a day on which they may have a public working.
     

May 25, 1839 Received a request from Upper Fairforest asking help to settle
                     a difficulty between Brethren Roundtree and Palmer. The request
                     was granted and we sent Brethren John Gibbs, James Hay, 
                     Wm Gregory, Jason Greer, and Hyram Murphy. 

Aug 24, 1839 Brother Churchill Gibbs came forward and made an 
                     acknowledgement in which he states he has been exceedingly 
                     wrong and begs that the Church bear with him till the next meeting, 
                     in consequence the church appointed a committee of Br. J. Greer, 
                     J. Hay, W. Gregory to aid the parties in reconciliation. 

Oct 26, 1839 Heard the acknowledgement of Br. Robinson and Gibbs 
                   
which gave general satisfaction to the church therefore, they 
                    were both restored to fellowship again... 

Jun  27, 1840 ...agreed that Br. Greer drew a subscription (payable in Dec. next) 
                    for the purpose of recovering our meeting house and that Brethren 
                    Gregory, White and Gibbs and H. B. Murphy, and James Hay 
                    appointed to hold subscription and superintend the said work.

                          Received letter from Padgett Creek asking an explanation of our 
                     object in receiving some person under our watch-care whom they 
                     had excluded. We agreed to write for that purpose appointed the

                     he had collected of two dollars and eighty cents, which balance

                         Br. Bobo moved that there be a committee of three be appointed to
                    superintend the repairing and they be authorized to sell the brick of 
                    the gable ends, Which are to be taken down and that this committee
                    be empowered to make some suitable contract with some person
                    or persons to do the work. This was voted upon and was unanimously 
                    carried, the committee is to consist of Br. J. Bobo, G. Harlin, and

Aug 25, 1860 Took up the case of Br. J. W. Murphy and after some 
                     discussion of his case and he remaining in the same mind 
                          as before. There was a charge preferred against him for obstinacy
                     and contempt of authority. The after further discussion the church
                     excluded him from her fellowship, his wife (Sister Nancy Murphy
                     requested her name erased, but after discussion her case was 
                     postponed indefinitely. 

Oct 27, 1860 Called the case of sister Nancy Murphy. She not being present
                     her case was continued. 

Aug 24, 1861 Took up the case of Sister Nancy Murphy after discussing 
                     of her case there was a charge preferred against her for 
                     obstinacy and a contempt of authority after further discussion 
                     of the case the church then excluded her from its fellowship.

                    case of failure alternate W. J. Sparks to represent us in the next 
                    session of the association.

                     E. White, and M. Robinson also appointed J. Greer, I. P. Murphy
