October 24, 1846

In conference met. Granted letters of demission to Brother Elias White and Ann White his wife and Samuel Harlin.

NOTE:  Samuel Harlin (Harland), married Elisa's Daughter, Susan White, they moved to Texas in 1846 with Elias's family, as Susan is not listed with Samuel above, leads me to believe they married after October 24, 1846, before departing to Bowie County Texas.  Samuel died there between 1854 & 1855, Susan then married Patrick Creed, an immigrant from Ireland, in 1855.

Elias had sold his lands in Union SC, in Oct 1846.  I guess, they timed there departure to Texas to be there before Spring for the first planting, Elias appears on the tax rolls, 1847, however, Benjamin Jackson White, his oldest son, appears on the tax rolls 1846, and it appears he arrived in Texas before Elias.

Elias's family were one of first white settlers in the Redwater Tx area, though these land records were destroyed in a court house fire, we know about where they lived in relation the the Creed Cemetery, where he and his family and descendants are buried. At his height in this area he owned over 1800 acres, from tax records.
