I Elias White of said State and District for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred and Sixty-Eight dollars to me in hand paid by David W. Johnson of said State and District have granted bargained sold and released and by these presents do grant bargain sell and release unto the said David W. Johnson a part of a tract of land lying in said district bounded by lands of my own and the said Johnson and the heirs of Wm White deceased Beginning at a pine stump x3 thence N. 81 ½ E. 5.20 to a stake x3 on a branch thence N. 34 W. 10.13 to a PINE x3 thence 5.80 W.18.50 to a PO x3 thence S. 10.80 to a Sweet Gum x3 thence N. 86 ½ E. 18.51 to a Pine x3 thence N. 5.00 to the beginning. Containing twenty-eight Acres be the same more or less Together unto all and singular the rights number hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any use incident or appertaining to have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the said David W. Johnson his heirs and assign forever and I do hereby bind myself my heirs executors administrators and assign to warrant and forever defend all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the said David W. Johnson his heirs and assign against myself my heirs and against every person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof witness my hand and seal this twenty fourth day of March One Thousand Eight Hundred and forty-five and in the Sixty Ninth year of the United States of America.

Thence along the land of Elizabeth and John Murrell To Sugar Creak thence down said creek to a small branch known as the Whitlock Spring Branch, Thence a west course to a stone in the old field in the place of a Red Oak thence South 68 West 31 chains and 88 links to a Black Hick on James Hays corner thence to the beginning Stake.
