John & Charles Letcher

This is said to be John and Charles Letcher. Brandy, says that they had the wrong brother written on the back.
On the back of the picture it says: "John & Julian Letcher at their Filling Station in Montavallo, AL. 1930"
They both look very young to me. Am assuming John would be first on left?

Clarence Letcher
(Brother of Grover Cleveland Letcher)

"I did a little research on the Patteson, and also on the Coovert on
Clarence's picture. It seems the Coovert was somewhat famous and had a studio on Main St. Memphis. He was known for his panoramas of the south, especially pictures of black's at work in the fields and other types of work. There is a large collection of his works (J. C. Coovert) in Memphis. Most of the examples I saw were made in the decade after 1900, I did see one for 1915. Also saw an auction lot, named but not shown, for his and another guy name Ray. A lot of 35 pictures, with 2 being postcards, worth between $2000 to $4000!!!!"

Unknown family photo at this time

This is a very good, very old picture, but the subject is unknown.
I hope someone knows who it is! At the bottom of the picture is a pressed in image that says: Patteson/Texarkana? Does that mean
it was made there?

On the back it says: "The lord only knows who (darker ink) some
Letcher Relative".

Can anyone date it?

Notes:
Sandra relates that the hand writing on the back of the above
photo's belongs to be Aunt Lou, Chris's Grandmother, (Luvenia
[Horton] Letcher). It is hoped that other relatives have pictures
of the same individuals and can offer some confirmation.
