William H Pate of Houston Co TX
Pate is important, he served
at San Jacinto with Levi W White
he lived near Levi in Houston Co Texas, this offers some support
that the Levi W White, at San Jacinto was our Levi White, as another
person says this is their Levi from Florida... Our Levi and Mr Pate also
originally joined up with Capt Clapp's unit in Houston Co, after serving
out their 3 months with Clapp's unit, members of Clapp's unit were rallied
to serve under Capt Bryant's Unit who fought at San Jacinto Texas. Census
records, and Land Grant records, I believe erased any doubt that this it our
Levi White that fought at San Jacinto TX in the final battle of TX Independence
Pate Joins Clapps Unit Sep 1836
