1790 -   William Fowler on 1790 Spartanburg Co. census with 2
           males 16+, 4 males 16-, 3 females.  With 7 children, 
           William was probably born about 1755 or earlier.

1793 -  Lawson Fowler b. in SC (he was age 77 on 1870 census). 
          There must have been 7 or 8 older children.

1795 -  Wiley Fowler born in Spartanburg Co., SC (IGI) ;

1800 -  William Fowler is on the Spartanburg Co., SC census, 
          the #s are compatible with Wiley and Lawson's birthdates 
          of 1793 and 1795, and with the 1790census.

1808 -  William deeded 70 acres to James Compton . (Deed Index).
          No other info.

1810 -  (bef) - William Fowler administrator to Estate of Wm. 
          Stewart, deceased.
 
1810 - Jul 12 - reference to Wm. Fowler, deceased.

1810 - Aug, 1st Mon. - census date, but William not on it.

1810 - Sep 3 - Letters of administration to Josiah Thornton on 
         estate of Wm.  Fowler, decd.

1812 - Lawson marries Mary Coxey in Rutherford Co., NC.

1813 - Jan 30 - Josiah Thornton admr. of Wm. Foster (Fowler?) made
         his return.  No more mention of a William in Spartanburg 
         until 1860 on the deed indexes.

1816 - Wiley marries Rachel Lewis in Cherokee Dist, Spartanburg 
        (IGI) (niece of Geo. Lewis).

1824 - Elijah is deeded 57 1/2 acres on Lawson Fork, from Geo. Lewis.

1824 - Wiley is deeded 32 acres from George Lewis, on Wolf Branch 
         of Lawson Fork.

1826 - Elijah sold his 57 1/2 acres to Wiley, wife Elizabeth joined
         in the sale.

1829 - Wiley purchased 200 acres.

1829 - Wiley sold 1 tract on Lawson Fork to William Walker

1831 - W. sold 90 acres to William Walker.

1831 - Wiley sold 200 acres to Benjamin Jones

1837 - Wiley deeded 25 acres from Job Sosebee;

1837 - Wiley & family, and Rachel Lewis' siblings, moved to Coosa Co.,
         Alabama, before Harriett Guthries second son is born in 1837.
