The land is off the first county road leaving Maud going west. Turn right off of 67, proceed north until the main CR turns west, continue
straight for approx 1 mile until this road turns east. Our gate entrance is here on the left. The cemetary is across a power line and northwest of the gate about one half a mile from the gate. Big Creek runs across the northeast side of this 114 acres, which we call the Seals Place.

"We met Richard Townsend who now owns the land on which the Harris Cemetery sits. He drove us out through the woods to the cemetery. He is in process of really clearing and improving the cemetery. He probably thinks we are crazy because we were so excited. We stopped at the Housing Authority to ask who owned the land. The lady sent us to the Automotive Shop owned by James Harris. He was in process of telling me how to get to Richard's house when Richard drove down the road in his white Ford truck toward town. So, he told me get in car and follow and catch him. I, of course, didn't even see the pickup; but, I found a white Ford truck at a gas station at intersection of Hwy 8 and Hwy 67. We went to the station and I asked if the men outside knew Richard and low and behold, Richard was one of the men."

Note:
Mary Jackson 1880-1880, could be the daughter of a Jackson family
that lived near JC's farm, on the 1880 Census, that family was listed as
John M & Adella Jackson, most likely friends of the Harris family.

Also note, "some were buried with a Rock marking the grave, so others,
were buried here, that we may never know.
