"White" Coat of Arms

The name White was brought to Ireland by settlers in the fourteenth century. The Gaelic form of the name is "de Faoite" although the use of the words "ban" and "geal", which both translate as "white", has led to a number of anglicized versions of this name including Bann, Bawn, Kibane, Bannane and even Galligan. It is now among the fifty names most frequently found in Ireland. I've located two different representations of the basic coat of arms, shown below:
