NOTE:
Why isn't there a RECEIVE date, entry for Robert & Elizabeth White, at the
Lower Fairforest? Have
looked through the Original Tapes of the Minutes, what becomes obvious early-on
is, the Lower Fairforest was called 'The Meeting House', prior to being
constituted, as a Church. Some of the members on the Rolls at the Padgett's
Creek Church, started attending the Meeting House, as it was closer to their
homes, was considered an 'ARM', of the Padgett's. After 1807, when the Lower Fairforest became
Constituted, those members attending, were NEVER Dismissed from the Padgett's, and
many not 'RECEIVED', at the Lower Fairforest, they just continued their membership,
at the former Meeting House now called The Lower Fairforest Baptist Church.
About the Minutes:
The Minutes are important for several reasons, it proves Robert Sr was in Union County SC, and attended this church, but more important is, many of his children and friends were also members, although, I've only placed a few of the excerpts of the minutes here, it would take-up to much space to list them all. While studying Robert Sr. and his family, one begins to recognize the fact that the same names appear on Wills, Deeds, and other documentation, and even marriages between these families, and many lived on lands adjacent to each other.
