These minutes also show dates that our ancestors departed their churches, in preparation for western migrations, very useful in determining departures... The minutes reveal, for example, when Elias White, and those that migrated with him to Texas in 1846, were dismissed from their South Carolina Churches... It is rare to have these minutes, as most were destroyed by fires and wars, and bad records keeping. |
