Obituary:

Donald Hairston Harland, age 81, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015, in a local hospital.

Mr. Harland was born August 5, 1933, in Texarkana, Texas, and had been a lifetime resident of Texarkana. He was a member and Deacon of Cornerstone Baptist Church, past member, deacon, and treasurer at Sylverino Baptist Church, past board member of Camp Canfield, retired from Midwest Milk Company, and a Rancher.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Harland of Texarkana, Arkansas, one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Mike Smith of Texarkana, Arkansas, two sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Jennifer Harland and Vance and Wanda Harland of Texarkana, Texas, eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and treasured friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with Dr. David Holder officiating. Burial will be at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 PM until 7:30 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

The family will be at their residence in Texarkana, Arkansas.

Memorials may be made to: Watersprings Ranch, 7707 Sanderson Lane, Texarkana, Arkansas, 71854.
