Spartanburg Court Minutes & Will of
George Lewis
WILL of George Lewis Provided by: Helen Allen WILL of George Lewis - Estate - (In more detail listing Siblings) "LEWIS, GEORGE - Will 21 March 1818. Sptg.
Wills Orig. A-138 Bx-17 Pkg-8: From: June Mann, who in person, looked at the
probate records in Coosa County AL and reports the following: I notice on your web site that the witnesses to the signing of George Lewis' will were Elias Benson, and Mahala Bishop. This might indicate George's wife Mary was a Bishop or a Benson, since one of the wife's family ordinarily was a witness to such an important document. There must have been a Boley connection also. (John Boley Lewis, Ephraim's son, and Mrs. Polly Boley, George's sister.) |
