The Murphy Letter's

Some of the letters were written in the shadow
of the Civil War & Reconstruction Times were difficult 
as our Southern relatives adjusted to a new way of life.

Letters Provided by:

Betty Barrow, a descendant of the Murphy's. Copies
of the records and photo's, including most of the originals,
came to her, from Vickie Devlin, of Norcross, GA,
who descends from Edy D. Murphy and Daniel Jackson,
as does Betty, from Daniel's first wife.

The 1871 Letter is where it mentions Robert White born Near Roanoke & Tar
Rivers, it can only be read from the Heritage Book, we do not have a hand written copy of this letter
