The Family Pictured above, with Chloe Letcher, is her Daughter Sarah (Letcher) Smith, her family & relatives. George & Sarah's two sons, are pictured, Jeppie & Arthur Smith, with wives and children. Jeppie's wife Ada, their son Arlan, also Arthur and wife Mary, and their two, Ernest & Murrel (Eva) Smith. Folks, way in the back are unknown at this time. Letcher Coat of Arms Provided by: Bob Campbell The Story of the Coat of Arms The three (3) crowns represent three (3) kings and was given to the Leech (Letcher) family after they entertained the King of England and two prisoners, the King of Scotland, David II, and the King of France, John II (Surnamed Le Bon). When they left, the King of England told the Leech family that they had been so well entertained that they could use three crowns for a Coat of Arms. |
