Illie married Richard Rex White October 23, 1948 after many years of courtship.

They had no children.

Rex was born in 1890, died in 1958 and is buried in Chapelwood Cemetery, Nash, TX.

Rex was the son of Thomas Monroe White and Martha Olivia "Lee" Harris and brother to Charles Thomas White who married Illie’s sister, Elizabeth "Addie" Holley. They were the Grandsons of Benjamin White, long time settlers in Bowie County, Texas.

Rex remained in the Maud area, and appears, cared for his parents. He signed both of their death certificates.  The Will & Estate of Martha, only mentions Rex, and it appears he was the only one who inherited, her Estate.  It is not known to me, if he divided this inheritance among his siblings.  It stands to reason, if he cared for them in their old age, that it was understood he would receive some compensation, at their deaths.  Most of the children moved away from Bowie County, in 1930, son Charles T White was living just a few houses from Mom & Brother Rex, some returned in later years.
