Brothers & Sisters of Susan V - Charles
Thomas Marion William Susan V  Louisa  Benjamin Charles John G

Three Children of Benjamin & Polly White
Updated Feb 02, 2014

Susan V White

This child could be Louisa V White instead of Susan V White
from recent discovery of Louise V White - See Louisa family below.
Where's the record that shows SV died in 1855 or was 7 yrs old at death?
All records of Bowie Co TX were distroyed in the 1889 Court House Fire.
I believe Susan may have been a victim of family lore... & an incorrect 1850 census?

However, Susan White may have died with her mother, Polly, during child birth...

Born: 1848 Bowie Co TX
Died: 1855 Bowie Co TX
(was 7 yrs olds at death)

"Gone by not forgotten"

1850 Bowie Co Census 8th District ED 15th Sep 1850

White, Benjamin  M 29  farmer  400  SC
Polly                   F  30                     SC
Thomas M.         M 09                     SC
Marion C            M 07                     SC
William P            M 05                     SC
Susan V              F 02                     TX

Note:
This is the only record I have found showing Susan V White,
it would appear she died after 1850, I did not locate her in the
1860, living with another family in Bowie Co TX.

It is also note worthy to say that, Susan's mother Polly also died
in 1855.  My feeling is, Susan was buried with her Mother, and may
not have been marked, or would have been moved to Center Ridge
in 1956 with her mother and father, pure speculation, as she could
be buried at Creed Cemetery in Redwater with her Grandparents
and other connections.

Charles White
Born: abt 1853 Bowie Co TX
Died: aft. 1853 and bef 1860 Bowie Co TX

"Gone by not forgotten"

Notes:
Charles White is a complete mystery there are no records
on this son of Ben White, and I would not expect there to
be, as he is born in between census, our only hope would
be a Family Bible record, or letter, if ever found.
