Found the following information for BF White.
Date: December 23, 2002 at 20:21:11
LOOKUP FUNERAL HOME RECORDS

Mike, the "Death Index" lists a B F White died July 25, 1930, age 79 born in Texas,
Mother unknown Father a Marion White. Buried in Providence Cemetery.

Sallie M. White born Aug 19 1860 Ala. died June 8, 1951 parents Allen Jacobs
and Ellis Alexanders, shows her to be buried at Bethel.

B F WHITE and wife H. E. is listed on the 1900 census with 6 kids and his
Mother in law living with them.

NOTE From Mike:
BF White had a older brother named Marion, it is understandable why this mistake
was made, BF White was orphaned at about 5 years old, and raised by his aunt
Mary C (White) Tapp.  He may not have had any memories of his parents, and
his children may have made a guess about his father, using a brother Marion instead
of Benjamin White his real father...

What we learned from the volunteer lookup by Leitha, is BF White was indeed
buried at Providence Cemetery, his third wife's maiden name was Jacobs, and
mother's Alexander's.  That Sallie was buried at Bethel Cemetery. I ask Leitha to
see if Harriet was buried with BF White, I suspect she is, as she bore most all of
his children, at this time I do not know if there were children with Sallie's marriage,
or if Sallie had a prior marriage with children, It is obvious this was a late in life
marriage, and I would doubt that Ben and Sallie had children...

NOTES:  (Pro & Con)

There is a possible discrepancy with the above BF White:

After his fathers death, a Joseph Franklin White, son of Ben White decd, is living with Ben's sister Mary Tapp, the birth date indicates this is indeed the son of  B White 9 yrs old, this was the 1860 census, two years after B's death, In 1870, this Joseph Franklin White appears as Franklin White, now 18yrs old and still living with, NOW, Mary Smith, her 2nd husband.  In the 1880 census, same precinct there is now a FRANK WHITE 28 could be 26, yrs old, married to a Hattie E, 20 yrs old, with two children; Terresa and Birtil? (Bert), a son.  The 1880 census still shows Frank's parents born in SC, as it should.  At no time in the Bowie Co census, do I find a Benjamin Franklin White, even more suspicious, is the naming convention for his children, none of the 10 children except one, are named after any of Elias's lineage... I find this highly unusual.

In Summary:  This information on BF White was taken from Kay White's book, it is one of best family books I've ever seen, very well documented, I have verified some of the data myself, not intentionally, but through my own research.  I do suspect an error with Benjamin Franklin White and Joseph Franklin White, the 1890 census being destroyed, will have to look into the 1900 etc.

According to the book, BF White married Abilou Helms first, they had a child Bell White that died at 12 yrs old... why isn't she listed on the 1880 census?  The next child is Benjamin Bert White b. 1879. At least Bell and Ben should have been on this 1880 census, again, if I am correct about the name discrepancy.

If I am correct about my assumption, of this Franklin White or Joseph F White, then the two children that I show, Terressa b. 1878 and Birtel? b.1880 would fit neatly in from of Ben Bert White and after Louis Howard White, yet neither show on this census???  Not to say this BF White is not related, could be down another line. I may be totally wrong about this theory, but is has to be looked into.

Isn't this fun  :)   Will update as time and findings come my way.

==========================================
UPDATE:

After much study of BF White, I've found that early on he was listed as Joseph Franklin White,
also, Franklin and Frank, but later in life is, now referred to as Benjamin Franklin White.

==========================================

What is confusing is Benjamin and Hattie's marriage is listed in the records of Franklin County
Texas, when they were actually living in Bowie County Texas at least up to1888, have not
found the family in the 1900 census yet, and of course, the 1890 was destroyed by fire, land
records indicate Ben & Hattie were still living in Bowie County, in 1888, as a deed of sale takes
place, see above, the deed was filed in the Bowie County Court Records on October 6th, 1900.
This may imply they moved before the census was taken in Bowie Co and/or after it was taken
in Franklin County, thus, they were missed... Anyway, there is still a few kinks to be resolved...
They may have even moved to Franklin Co and sold the land in Bowie later...?

In Support of this being the correct White Family:

In Bowie County - we have the Shelby's, (living next to our White's, Dennis's and Oliver's).
BF White's 2nd wife Harriet was a Shelby, Dennis's married into the White family, the Oliver's
are interesting, they deeded the land to BF White, and in the 1900 census, Bert and Lester White
son's of BF White were living with the Oliver family in Franklin Co TX as boarders.

So, these families lived next door to each other in Bowie Co and later in Franklin Co. the White
they lived next to in Bowie was a Ben White... (1900 Bowie Co TX), well you might be thinking,
IT'S ALL CUT AND TRY... Right... well, this is NOT THE BEN WHITE above, it is a much
younger Ben White who is the son of William P White, brother of BF White.  Also interesting is
the Morrow's are also living in this same sections of Bowie Co, BF White sold his land in the JS
Herring survey to this Marrow family, before leaving Bowie for Franklin Co TX, or could have
sold it after he had moved to Franklin Co TX.   Letcher Family is also here, they married into
my family before this time, via marriage of my grandfather Newt White to Emma Foster, and
her maternal lineage.

BF White inherited land from his Grandfather Elias White, who died in 1873, as did his siblings.
As BF was to young at the time, I am sure the court assigned a guardian to over see this land until
he arrived at the correct age to take possession himself.  However, the court house burned down
in 1889, destroying all records, many of the deeds, however, spared, as a title company made copies
of those deeds, before the fire, the copies being appreciated, but will hold up in court.

The 1900 census of Franklin Co TX, shows the correct initials for the children of BF and Hattie,
at the time, though there are of names that crop up in prior and later census's, I will re visit, to view
better copies, this family used nick-names, more that any family I have ever recorded.  And of course
as in all Census, the census takers almost always, spelled the names as he could spell them himself,
very creatively, and many times very incorrectly... It is also worthy to note, that some of the children
died very young, and the presence or absence of said children at a young age, could be that they are
living with someone else as a boarder, also, as in the 1900 census of Franklin County, note of caution.

We might also conjecture, that BF White and other of his neighbors moved from Bowie to Franklin
between 1888 (deed sale), or as early as 1900, before the census was taken.

Franklin County was not know for wealth, mostly farmers, about half owned there own land,
during the depression this county saw little change as most of the folks were already poor, in the
material sense, living off their own farming, to survive, but rich in the family sense...
