White, William 22 M W Farmer 320 200 TX
Louisa             20  F W kephse              TX  ( deaf / dumb)  'sister of Wm'

**With Louisa's handicap Wm was caring for his sister. It appears she may
have died before the 1880 census, have not located her in any other households.

NOTE:  This has to be Wm P White, the only one at this age, at this time, Louisa,
could be his SISTER, she would be 18 to 20 years old in 1870, I have not
found her in the 1860 census yet, possible she was living with a relative.
If this is a wife of Wm's, would be his first wife (a 3rd?), he married Winiford
1871, and Anna 1898. Louisa would have been a young and short marriage.
I will need to do some more research on this... I am pretty sure Louisa is
Wm's sister... The mystery is, 'where was Louisa in the 1860 census?'

NOTE:  His brother and Aunt & Uncles are living around this Wm.

The letter below includes an entry, whereby William P White pays
the property taxes of his father Ben, after his decease between 1869-1870

Letter from Glenn Thrapp of
Redwater TX to Mrs. Kay White

Mike,

This is from a copy of a letter I sent Kay several years before she published
her book. My copy is not dated.

About Benjamin's land;

1. 1852 to 1858 paid taxes on 320 acres that later became known as the
    Nathan Proctor Head right.

2. 1859 to 1864 John G. White paid tax on Ben estate, same acres.

3.1865-1868 John's widow Mary paid tax on Ben estate, same acres.

4. 1869-1870 W. P. White paid tax on this land. (Ben's son)

Notes from Glenn;

Most of the 320 acres is in 2 creek bottoms. The highest land in this
Headright shows signs of a old home site. The area is covered in white
narciss flowers, the same as found at the Tapp home site & Elias's home site.
John G. White. There are two possible for his home site. The site on the
west side is my guess. There is a house there now & I can't search the area
with a metal detector. Has the same white flowers.
Tapp home site. The graves of the Tapp & Ben & Polly White were located west
of this place. Unable to find. Believe John & Mary White could be buried
there yet. Found home made bricks & several metal objects indicating a home
for many many years. Dorothy Pullen gave me directions to this site. She
passed away a couple years ago.

Notes:
I am not sure the above deed is our Wm. White, I suspect the L. C. Helms is
actuaully, Samuel Helms husband of Missouri C. Parker Helms, the parents of
Abilou Helms White, who married our Benjamin Franklin White in 1876...

This may very well be a Wm White of a Durant H. White line, whom I have
been unable to connect to our lineage.
