Steven White Recorded on 1850 Walker Co TX
Agricultural Census; (Source: Texas 1850 Agricultural Census Vol1, by Linda L Green - only 5 field transcribed) 1. Steven White (Stephen) 2. Improved land - Blank (does this mean he had no land in production? - was in Ferry Business?) (also listed as Blacksmith, his father was a colonial blacksmith by trade) 3. Unimproved land - 4057 acres (this may be the league of land in the Ortega Survey, 4 miles above Cincinnati twp, I don't believe this would be grant land but land he purchased? As he took is League/Labor of 4600 acres in Kaufman county 1838. this land bordered son in law Sion Prichard, and Tilman B White also here...) 4. Cash Value of Farm - 2028 5. Val. Of Farm equip - 200 13. Val. Of Live Stock - 715 List of Neighbor's: on either side starting from Stephen and then north of him (so to speak) and south of him (so to speak) this is important in figuring out where his land was located in Walker Co TX.
